The Witcher season 2: New scenes and extended trailer offer fresh look at the Netflix series (and Vesemir)
A New Look at The Witcher season 2 has been disclosed, courtesy of two clips shown off during Netflix's Tudum event as well as a 'Road to season 2 trailer' that finally shows off Vesemir.
Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri all return to Netflix this December in what promises to be another sexy chance on The Continent. You hind end watch out one of the new clips above, and the other below. The first features Kristofer Hivju's ugly Nivellen in conversation with Geralt, providing the witcher a word of warning for Ciri. A good matter, to a fault, as there's a bruxa on the loose.
This is not we've seen from the new season of The Witcher, with a trailer having previously been shown at Netflix's Holocene Geeked Week. That trailer highlighted whatever of the new adventures Henry Cavill's Geralt and Ciri (Freyja Allan) will be acquiring up to this December and hinted at a Thomas More cohesive narrative than 2019's opening salvo.
The 'Road to season 2 trailer' acts as a more traditional teaser, display off the new faces cropping sprouted at Kaer Morhen, including Vesemir (played by Kim Bodnia).
Meanwhile, it's already been confirmed that the opening episode will adapt the short story A Grain of Truth, focusing on Geralt's luck find with Nivellen, played by Game of Thrones' Kristofer Hivu. Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich explained more of what's to descend in the premiere in a Holocene epoch teaser.
"Information technology's a story of a Father of the Church and daughter climax together in a place that doesn't quite feel for condom for them," Hissrich aforesaid.
"And of course, we really go into Nivellen, who's played past the incomparable Kristofer Hivju. And we get to explore his character and his backstory with Geralt arsenic good. Information technology's really the perfect kickoff for season 2 because it's about family, it's about the secrets we continue from to each one other, and information technology's about the monsters that we are inside sometimes."
